Rimrock Sledding 4×4 Adventure Hosted by Eastern Washington Off Road Report by Clay Graham. Photos by Clay Graham / Eastern Washington Off Road
On Sunday, November 27th, 2005, we headed up to Rimrock Area in the Naches Ranger District to go sledding and sightseeing.
We ran FS1201 up to the end stopping off looking at 4×4 trailheads. We let the kids go sledding near Long Lake until they got to cold. We then drove around Rimrock Lake Peninsula for fun.
Heading back to Yakima we stopped off at the Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife Oak Creek Wildlife Area Elk Feeding Station to see the elk. There were only a few elk there at that time. The kids still thought it was cool!
This was a very fun day.

The All Wheelers Off Road Club members plan meet up at Ceg Ranch in West Valley Yakima to convoy to The Slab near Zillah to ride ATVs on Friday November 25th, 2005. That morning we woke up to snow on the ground. Change of plans, we took 4×4 rigs instead. We headed out to The Slab and found mud and snow. We hit the trails and had a blast!

On Saturday November 19th, 2005, the All Wheelers Off Road Club members and some others met up in Tampico to do a early Thanksgiving 4×4 run up on Sedge Ridge in the snow.
The Sedge Ridge 4×4 Trail was challenging. We could not make it up Rocky Climb so we went around on the Ahtanum South Fork Road and hit the trail higher. We moved on up and got stopped by mud under the snow just before the Dual Climb. We all gave it a shot for fun.
next we turned around and ran the Sedge Ridge 4×4 out and across the ridge toward Tampico. We dropped down the A-2420 and on out through the Ahtanum Sno-park.
This was a very fun day.

On Friday November 11th, 2005, WUD Wheelers 4×4 Club members met up at Yeti’s Family’s Cabin on the North Fork Ahtanum Road near Ahtanum Meadows to camp for the weekend and to hit some 4×4 trails.
On Saturday we headed up Sedge Ridge. The roads were stick with ice and snow. Ratboy’s F250 slid into the dig as we were topping Red Saddle. He had to back all the way down and then get winched out by a Jeep. We hit a few more roads and headed back to the cabin to party.
